Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Farmer came to Yakima in 1993 to open the Group Health Yakima Vision Center, as the clinic director. Dr. Farmer opened Yakima Vision Center in 2008 with the goal of providing Washington residents the greatest quality eye care in the Yakima Valley. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon. She continued her optometric training through an externship at the Indian Health Services Clinic in Blackfoot, ID specializing in clinical based optometry and ophthalmologic co management of glaucoma, ocular disease, inflammation, trauma, retinopathy and cataracts.

She also did a year residency/teaching fellowship in ocular disease at Pacific University.

She has extensive experience in family eye care, including pediatric eye examination, contact lens fitting, eye surgery co-management, adult eye care, and low vision consultation.

Dr. Farmer has a deep dedication to her patients and is very happy to be able to maintain the high quality of care that the Group Health Vision Center was known for under her direction.

Dr. Farmer is married with two children. She and her husband grew up in Idaho. They both love Yakima for the outdoor recreation.

Dr. Farmer’s philosophy is to “treat every patient as a member of your own family”.

​​​​​Dr. Lundberg came to Yakima this year from South Dakota. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon. She completed several externships including one with the VA in Kentucky where she gained a lot of experience in glaucoma, cataracts and ocular disease. She has experience in family eye care, including pediatric eye examination, contact lens fitting, eye surgery co-management, adult eye care, glaucoma, ocular disease and low vision consultation.

She is very concerned about the well being of her patients and is a delightful addition to Yakima Vision Center.

She is excited to explore the wineries and the hiking trails of Central Washington.
